Late. Sir JK Chande KBE

Born on 7 May 1928 Mombasa, Kenya the respected and eminent Sir Jayantilal Keshavji Chande, popularly known as JK or Andy, has written a critically acclaimed and fascinating memoir depicting his life and times in Tanzania. Andy's father, Keshavji Chande, moved to the then British colony of Tanganyika (now Tanzania) to build a better life. 

Jayantilal (Andy) He was born in Mombasa, Kenya on May 7, 1928, but he grew up in Bukene, a nondescript dusty village 50 miles north of Tabora. 

His father ran a shop there.
