Chaman Lal Chaman was a London-based famous Panjabi artist, lyricist and radio broadcaster. He is the author of a prevalent Panjabi melody, saun da mahina, sung by Jagjit Singh in 1979. He moreover composes in Urdu and Hindi.

He composed a Bhangra melody for Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Partiality, featuring Aishwarya Rai with music by Anu Malik, and numerous melodies and ghazals for Jagjit Singh and his spouse Chitra Singh. His verses has too been sung by famous Indian artists like Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu and Sonu Nigam.

He worked as a radio moderator in Kenya and Britain and met more than a hundred celebrities counting, Sunil Dutt, Jawahar Lal Nehru and Naushad.
